I saw this when you started it on minifinity. It looks excellent now. I only wish I'd seen it before I bought the paint for mine.

Keep it up mate it's looking tops. The roof is really nice too. Your garage looks about the same size as mine so I know what you mean about no room to spray. Happy new year to you and your car. Might put a shot of vodka in the fuel tank of mine for a new years toast haha... :D :D

Well as my rattle can spraying was going tits up :( I decided I would then try this roller painting malarkey, only problem is after phoning up, all I was told is they can do metallics, but they had had problems in the past so were not willing to try. ;)

Well I’m not going to give up that easily as I’ll be straight on the phone again Monday, but for now it appears I’m fcuked as I can’t carry on spraying with cans with the C**p colour match problems, can’t do this roller painting as it’s likely I won’t be able to get the paint and I can’t hire a compressor/spraying equipment or send it off to be done professionally as I simply can not afford it. Great, why do I bother at times, its one thing straight after the next? (and i'm not just talking minis)

you'd need a laquer too, I'm sure if you asked really nicely they'd do it... fingers crossed. My garage flooded so i've had to wait for it to dry out in there till i can crack on with me painting.

Well I hope so too, eater that or I’ve gone to the trouble or replacing load of panels only to end up with the car in primer and by the time I will be able to afford to have the car re-sprayed properly the rust would probably have started to come back.

Oh and my garage is also flooded, would help if my garage didn’t slope to the back wall were everything like my tool box and shelving full of stuff is, just a good job I left none of it on the floor like last time.

Oh and it’s meant to get worse over the next week with either strong winds (looks like I’ll be pulling the rest of the fence down before it falls down, as the ground is far to wet to even start fixing it) and very heavy rain or if it changes direction stub zero temperatures and a few inches of snow for a few days.

as promised..... the paint job is back on!... nice dry garage at last! ;D

This picture is just to show the shinyness after one proper polish (none of the car has been waxed yet... so it can only get shinier!!!! eeek!) excuse the darkness... will get daylight pics tomoz or something. The rear quarter in this pic is flatted back + awaiting two final coats...

after putting one coat of paint on this A-panel it revealed slight surface imperfections... so I flatted back and but a skim of filler over... the next few pictures i will post on this thread will primarily be the scuttle and this A-panel

And here are some useful pics fresh from the can...... firstly, picture of the scuttle.... this picture shows the paint straight after it come off the roller, I will take a picture tomorrow when it has hardened and levelled... what the MOPAR etc threads seem to be missing are useful close ups, so here we are. It aint pretty, i got the consistency wrong as i haven't painted in a while... but i rollered in some extra paint and it rescued it :-

And here's a picture for the shiny doubters amongst you... P.S. and this aint been polished for a couple of months. ;D

:w00t: The neglect is worse than I thought!!

Actually - looking again, I think you're fibbidy dibbing, that bumper looks pretty polished to me. Unless she's been kept in a vaccuum for the last couple of months!

I kid ye not!... no polish was used in the making of those pictures. I'm just lucky to have looked after my bumpers last year and the rear one stays shinier than a shiny thing!....

Thanks for comments, :bah:* My Milli does have a mighty fine rear end! :D
