It's warm enough to paint in a garage, I'm just about to buy some rollers and do my A-panels again, I had done them already but i wasn't happy so stripped them, popped a skim of filler over, smoothed it back and now we're ready for paint again, looks silky smooth lol.
Pics to come

I have orderd my paint and will be spraying it. Baring in mind that 2.5 litres is suposed to do 2 mini's, would 1 2.5 litre tin do one car sprayed inside and out, doors and boot/bonnet - but not the roof as that will be a different colour?
Could you post up pics when yours is being done?(in stages)

Well Al, yes it would have been quicker to get a spray gun, rental compressor and paint, but not cheaper by anymeans, also, I don't have room to spray, no where near enough to spray infact.i have read this whole topic now and i must say that the finish your getting seems to be pretty impressive but just a question.... would it not have been 100 times easier and quicker to rent a compressor and spary gun and paint it that way..... sparaying a car isn't as difficult as people think.... and you seem to know how to polish so if you did have any poor finish problems from spraying you could just flat back and polish it.

Al.
Also, whilst spraying would have been quicker, the reason mine has taken so long is becuase I simply don't have the time i wish i had, Spraying would beat it hands down for speed.
This paint job has cost me...£68.97 so far and this is really why i've done it. And also it's a bar bragging point, the people that have met me can tell you the first thing i do is say 'touch that door'.. that's done with a roller...
i'm notfrom the UK so i am looking for the paint online.

I am using a tin of custom mixed Rustoleum from the 'stops rust' range, whereabouts are you in the world mate.... as rustoleum is also badged under the name 'Tremclad' in other countries.

the local dealer does have the rust-oleum brand but i haven't called them yet.
i just wanted to be sure that i knew what i am talking about when i do.
i checked the 'stops rust' range @ www.rustoleum.com and there is a long list again.
i know that this may be really irritating now but can you give any more assistance?
by the way i am sure that we are all waiting to see your finished product.
when will we be able to?

It's fine mate lol! the stops rust range is a gloss finish enamel based paint. It is thinned down with white spirit or 'Mineral spirits'. 2litres is enough to do 2 minis.
I'm aiming to have it done early next year, around February/early march, as i have mechanical stuff to do on the mini too so I can't just do it in one go. plus i've ordered a new front end for my car, so this needs to be dry fitted etc before i paint it.
In theory the whole car, APART from the front end will be done in about a month if I find the time. which i will. as I've promised more pics for a while now. so when i do post pics up, the will be good ones.

The door is not finished !!! I havent done the final polishe and it is covered in thick dust!!!! so you can imagine how shiny it's gonna be when i clean the car and polish and wax it, as if it's not shiny anyway even with all the dirt!
