I am thinking about buying a set of 8 x 13 alleycat wheels but am dubious over them as to whether they will be a) worth having
B) any good in the wet
c) whether i should get 7 x 13 black superlights

What are your opinions? :proud:

my mate russ has ally cats, they are awsome, ge the right tyers on them and ull stick better than a tramp to 3 cooks window. but i prefer the look of superlights also dont forget to keep that rim clean and pimp

oh yea the only option of arch u have on allycats is miglia's, dont know of any others that will cover them??!?!!1

There is many discussions on wide wheels on here do a search and you will find lots of threads im sure. But i thought they wasn't meant to be as good as 12s or 10s?

i have alley cats heres some pics of them on mine i reckon they look smart and all that but there not the best for handling as there far to wide and rather go straight due to how wide they are im after 10 inch wheels now though for ultimate handling :proud:

huddersfield are now doing them in 7x13s. nice alternative to superlites/ultralites. i have 7x13s and like them, they may not be best for handling but i like the chunky look. i have yoko a539s on the front, and they're great in the wet. and rich, i was at morspeed a while ago and he showed me what happens to your diff pin if you wheelspin too much. utterly fubared, and thats an engine out and strip down jobbie.

well the one i saw looked like it had been machined with a great big groove in the middle of it. not pretty, and thats also a lot of bits of metal floating round your engine.

You can get 195/40 13s now to overcome the stretching tyre problem.

I have 13x7 starmags on mine with bridgestone potenzas, sometimes it feels a bit over tyred but other than that I can't complain.

I should keep some of the horrors which I've taken out of boxes... but I remove diff pins where the planet gear has worn the thing nearly 1/2 way through, and I'm not kidding !

Is that due to the 8 x 13 wheels or anything wide such as 7 x 13 too?
