Indicator Stalk Clamp Snapped

have just found another problem indicator stalk was a bit loose so removed cowl and was met with a load of insulation tape

turns out the clamp for the stalks has snapped

does any one know if these can be repaired or is it some thing else i must buy to get the car sorted

The same happened to me, its a new stalk unit I am afraid.

A new one is not necessarily needed, depending on how broke they are, they can be repaired. This is how I did mine, using a section of a jubilee clip

Lee, off the top of my head I can't remember, but most likely m5 or maybe m4, cut to length so it's just short of flush out of the column side.

The plastic ring is quite hard so should be drilled and tapped as you would with metal, it threads nicely, just be careful not to over tighten the screws.

As seen in the picture, the screw I put in the bottom left corner, as you look at it, had to have its head ground down as it fowled on the opposite switch

Same happened to mine.

If you don't fancy the repair have a search through e bay. There is generally some one selling one on there and it works out cheaper than a new one

Same happened to mine and the 2nd hand one came broken too.

The fix? Some work with the dremel and a jubilee clip. Its bodge-tastic but it'll do for now.
