Love the Tango paint and gorgeous seats - shame they're logo'd - some orange 'mini' or '1380' stitched over them would finish them of a treat.

Did you paint this yourself? What did you use because you make no comment on it in this thread. Is it celly, 1K or 2K? Cans or compressor?
Just weighing up my own options so asking around.
Yes painted it myself with just Rustoleum Combicolor and a Wagner W550 electric spray gun from Argos! Its alright really, not show winning but the paint and materials cost me about £60 and a few days labour all in.

This is awesome! I've been debating on the paint issue, and I really like this and it looks fantastic.

Not updated this for a few years as all was well!
My engine decided to let go on the track at MITP a few weeks back.. its done me proud, been drag racing 16.4 1/4 mile and seen 7000RPM nearly every drive!
At 1st I thought it was an ignition problem.. then after compression testing it we had 120/115/25/30 psi readings ( it was 205/210 across the board a few months back! So I pulled the head to find headgasket cylinder leakage between 1 and 2 with a large section missing between 3 and 4.. Thought Ok just the gasket easy fix!. Then on further inspection I've actually cracked block between 3 and 4!
You can hear what sound like det near the end of the video under load and it starts losing power but in the moment in the car with my lid on and the other little vibrations I didn't notice anything odd.. still had good oil pressure and the temp gauge was around half, I can only guess the sound is the gasket starting to fail and loose compression?
RIP 1380 engine!
