Ah fair enough then!
Amazes me that despite people reporting them they are allowed to carry on selling?
I made one error which was totally genuine and was banned instantly with no chance to appeal, and yet apparently ebay has no problem with this?!
I've reported these to eBay direct and they're not interested

Yup as Carlos said, the links are screwed up for some reason.
even the link in the e-mail to NAVCIS now links to that black van for some reason.
This makes me so angry, but I will refrain from ranting about ebay because if I start I won't stop
Did you still have no joy then?

So let me understand this. If you have a mini which has reached that point that you feel can't be saved and buy a shell from Minispares. If you change the ID plates from the old mini to the new shell then that's illegal BUT if you leave the ID plates with the new shell alone it isn't. Is that right? How do you register the new shell/ parts/ engine combo with the DVLA to get a licence plate? Is it classed as a new vehicle registration then?

You can use a new shell and transfer the ID, however you must use enough of the other parts for it to retain its original identity.
In all reality you could buy shiny new subframes and no-one would know as there's no serial numbers

Plus they are one of those common parts that needs replacing from time to time anyway

I'm pretty sure you cant build up a new shell with new parts and register it as a new car. You need to be using the new shell to replace a rotten/badly damaged one that is already registered

You can buy a new shell and try and apply for a new reg via IVA but the classic mini wont pass without majour modification
what most people do is buy a new shell to replace a rotten one, fitting a lot of new parts along the way
