Hi I need to find the paint code on my Mini but can't find it anywere! Anyone know!? Manuals dont say...

should be on the vin plate. 3 digit code.

then look on www.minicolours.co.uk to convert that to your colour

am guessing yours will be CML

Found it on website but on my Mini... (can i trust website? Isnt there different variations of colours like brittish leyland??)

Hey I was going to say that wasn't a VIN number, not enough numbers and it doesn't start right (Rover VINs all start SAXX and all VINs have the same number of digits).

Your Mini is too old to have a VIN. I don't think the code is recorded anywhere on the shell on a car that old.

Yeh 1979 Mini City 850. Its just a shell number/car number isnt it. So how do I find the paint code?

From numerous sources the Vermillion red is labelled as CML , I'm guessing that is the paint code for my colour acr. Does it sound right?
