JT19 and Wiggywithahailo I am up in Sandy so can meet on the way down. I've not booked a ticket yet though. I'll talk to the missus in the morning. Failing that, I might well come down with a mate instead.

69!

EDIT: In the most optimistic move of this century, I've put my Mini's registration number down, like I'm actually going to have it finished in time for L2B :teehee:

Is TMF doing anything for this?

A massive TMF convoy?

Like a convoy within a convoy, or a convoy to the convoy?

Yeah! See if we can get all the TMF together and convoy within the convoy?

Never been before so not sure if it could be done.

Maybe everyone stops off at Pease Pottage services?

Anybody that complains about overheating cars needs to fix their car so that it doesn't overheat before doing a Mini show in the height of summer and ques, well, It's 2500+ cars going from London to Brighton on a popular tourist weekend, what do you expect? It makes me laugh when people complain about sitting in the que at Crystal Palace for an hour or two, isn't that part of the fun? Thousands of Minis being released into London to cause havoc? Crystal Palace park has one entrance and one exit and we all use the same one on the Sunday morning, being released into a 3 way intersection with normal road traffic and tonnes of busses and taxis. Again, what do you expect?

Organise it better yourselves and see how it goes but I'm sure L2B will still be here in 10 years unlike anything else

It's not the waiting in the ques that's annoying, it's whenthw people that arrived at the palace along time after you, get to leave before you. And I'm not saying they do a bad job of organising it.

Hey, we are Brits - we love queuing!!!  I was only in row 3 or 4 and I was still an hour to get out - its half the fun watching all the Mini's heading off, great atmosphere.

Dont forget to keep your eyes open on the route down - dont know where it was, but there was a place doing free breakfasts (Bacon Baps etc) for any on the run that stopped off - I missed it >_<

It was a great experience for me and the lad (our first run last year) and Im looking forward to it again this year.  Hopefully the tampering idiots will stay away and we also get a nice day.

Lenny, do you mean the London or Brighton end for hotels with parking? If Brighton try MyHotel or Jurys Inn. Both central and pretty sure both have private parking (MyHotel def does) - no idea on cost of rooms though.

edit: The Royal Albion Is right opposite the pier and may have parking round the back too. May be worth asking. Failing that, guest houses on upper rock gardens, big wide road, pay and display parking... Lived there for 9yrs and never saw or heard of any tampering with cars parked overnight, minis or otherwise.

The Hilton also has a hotel further up the sea front - failing that there's some NCP carparks about too...

Thanks for our tickets 😄

for some reason I got 'volunteered' to buy tickets for 7 cars.

Seems minispares want me to add to basket and checkout 7 times, and of course enter payment details 7 times.

that is gonna be a right ball ache.
