So if travelling up on the Sunday its pretty much a NoNo to get into the park?

Don't fancy sitting in the park for hours but don't want to miss out on the fun.

No, it's only pretty much a "No No" if you turn up on the Sunday at 7-8 am. If you turn up at 5 am, you'll just be behind those who camped overnight (a couple of hundred at most). Minis enter crystal palace pretty much constantly for about three hours from when they reopen the gates at 5am on Sunday morning though, so if you turn up at 8am you'll then have a couple of thousand minis in front of you instead.

If you're not going to camp overnight, then my advice would be to either get there very early on Sunday (i.e. before 6am), or park outside crystal palace and walk in to get your run pack as I suggested earlier. The other option is to give Crystal Palace a miss and just to join the convoy somewhere along the route, then go an collect your run pack from the LSMOC stand at Brighton when you get there.

thinks its a tyre place just before you get the choice to A23 or M23 cannot for the life of me remember the name of the place

I think you are right, I remember it was on the left hand side 20 - 30 mins after I set off.  Definitely be keeping my eyes peeled this time!

So turning up at the gates for 5.30 then it shouldn't be too bad, might be right in the mix of it all.

Yeah that should be fine.

Just an observation, but there seem to be a lot more last minute L2B tickets up for sale here this year? Has there been some sudden increase in the "my minis not going to be ready in time syndrome" this year or something?

Rightio, ok. I don't mind not going into the park, my Dad is super impatient too so I doubt he would like the idea of sitting there for hours either. I'll look on Google for the car park and then do that. I will hopefully leave just after 5am so getting there for around about 7-7:30am... but I'll see.

I can't wait. I'm going A23 all the way down.

Cam.

Anyone know where abouts the car park is? Which side of Crystal Palace? I haven't been there since I was about 10 (7 years ago..)

Cam.

Edit: Is it up the road with the black and yellow speed bumps on? Unless I somehow raise my exhaust before Sunday I can't get over speed bumps
