There aren't any cars revving up at 2am these days; all the cars are put in the que early in the evening. The only thing that kept me awake last year was some bloke snoring in a nearby tent!

I forgot about camping in Brighton I'm going to be wrecked driving home Sunday night.
Its why Ive chosen to camp near to Brighton this year, in 2013 when I did the run after 2 and a half hours sleep on the Saturday night, driving back to Leicester on the sunday absolutely killed me lol!

In 2013 i did Northampton (left at 04:00 ish) to CP - arrived 06:00 ish
Beautiful weather had coffee burger and mooched about till we all starting to leave at 08:00 ish
Reckon it was past 9 when i left but got to Brighton at 11:00 ish
Spent about 5 hrs at the show - Fantastic day
Stayed overnight in Premier Inn Brighton - with Car park :) and returned next day to Northampton
Well recommended - and doing it again this year

I used to do the same when I lived near Oxford. Leave at 4.30, get to CP for 6.30ish, leave CP at 8.30 and get the Brighton for 10am

I have camped before and unless you're a good sleeper you won't get much sleep! People talking, shouting, cars revving all at 2am. There is supposed to be a quiet area but when I got there last year (about 4pm) I got put near the entrance even though I asked to go to the quiet area.
If you arrive on Sunday you will be queuing for hours to get out. When I parked my car it was in the 3rd line and it was an hour before I got out so enjoy the wait.
When you get to Brighton you will queue for over an hour to get to Madiera Drive which killed a lot of Mini's last year due to overheating. Take plenty of water in case the weather is hot (for the car as well as to drink)!
Still a good day but with all those cars and people do not expect peace and quiet and to get anywhere quick.
Well I hope you'll be quiet Doug I fancy a good nights kip

Yup. Don't forget to re-mortgage your house beforehand!IIRC theres a burger van on site and is open in the morning
There's also a small Tesco about half a mile down the road.
Quite liked the pub at the top near the lights.

The queue is then formed in the order which you have arrived (they block the ends of the aisles so no queue jumping).
That night you're probably not going to get much sleep. I advise a good blanket/duvet. Early rise Sunday morning to queue up ready to get your run pack.
Just enough time to pack everything away, grab something to eat (I say bacon/sausages and a disposable bbq) and add the plaque to the Minis and you're off.
If you get to CP Sunday get ready to leave towards midday - there are several queues made on Saturday night.
It's a good experience - just get the red bulls ready...
