If you have a bench grinder, you can put a polishing wheel in it and with it turned on, hold the lenses to the wheel with a little polish but only do it lightly and keep it moving regularly so you don't burn/melt the plastic

As said before and dishwasher can work wonders.
I'm brave enough to put car parts in mine though.
I have to wash my microfibre cloths when the GF is down the gym as it is

I tried toothpaste and autosol metal polish with no luck I have a suspicion that the damage is on the inside of the light cluster. Going to take it apart and try the same techniques on the inside.

Haha Ben, I have so few tools. Don't even have a rotary polisher/grinder yet I saw one of the posts mentioning scouring pad. Though I am afraid of stuffing it up completely.

Since I didn't have access to a grinder to use, I got a couple of different grades of sand paper and used progressively finer grades of sandpaper. Then I used some polish and a microfibre. Did this on the inside and outside surfaces and the lens looks much better
