So we did a few calculations regarding our fuel economy across France.
Turnes out that at 70mph (3,500rpm) most of the way, in a fully loaded car we were averaging 45mpg!
Pretty good i think, so if anyone is looking for a cheap way to travel, turns out that minis are the one!

Another Fab day out here today!
As there has been very little snowfall so far, it means that you can easily access some of the towns usually only accessible on skis! so we made the most of that today!
The first part of the day saw us driving from Morzine up to the town of Avoriaz, and I can assure you that the roads round here are far more fun than any track day.
Once we arrived in Avoriaz its pretty surreal being able to drive round a town i usually only slide round, so we thought it was a good opportunity for an explore!
Parked at the top of two chair-lifts. Lots of smiles and waves from the local lads who are working on getting the place set up for the season!
Outside on of Avoriaz's top lunchtime spots, Chez Flo. (This is usually a piste with millions of people skiing / boarding past!)
You see all kinds of cool red machines out here!
Time for a break!! What a stunning view.
Once again, another great day of fooling around, making the most of it, as tomorrow I actually start work.
Oh and one more thing, she has been cleaned ;)
Thanks again!

Swap the skis for a board and you are sorted.

Nicely done with the heated garage! I'd love to do something like this I really would. What job are you doing while you are there?
Swap the skis for a board and you are sorted.
Im working as a resort manager for a chalet company called TG ski. So that basically means i have to make sure my 11 staff are looking after their chalets and transfer vans! First time in a role with this much responsibility so wish me luck!

Awesome story and trip, many thanks for sharing.
The photos you've posted are just super, the scenery and the framing, just super.
As a veteran of travelling adventure, going away is always fun, but doing it in a Mini is special and leaves a life time of memories.
