Do you already have an Axle and Sprocket, or are you starting it from scratch ?
I'd personally say get one machined, although this could would be quite expensive.
I'm not too sure if it's feasible, but couldn't you get the mini diff couplings (seeing as you're using the original pot joints in the picture above), have the two halves welded together and sleeved over, and then a sprocket welded or bolted to the new setup ?
I'm not quite sure if A) the welds would be sufficient enough, and B) that the welding may warp the sprocket badly.
I have a design in my head but hopefully that described it.

You need to make a can and machine the gear off so a sprocket can be mounted, a standard mini diff will be marginal with a bike engine, I would use a twin pin diff at least

I am trying to get started on a project similar to this, with a RWD mid mounted engine. What type of subframe is that? I am unsure what kind I would need. I want to have a bike engine in my mini, but i dont know if I have to get a custom made sub frame or whether it's possible to mount a bike engine on the existing one. Could you shed some light please?

this is home made subframe - it's based on orginal mini front subframe.

I like your idea, and I like it so much it got me brain storming. I would like to take set-up notes from your build and incorporate it into my mini master plan. This may sound very ambitious but my idea is to build up a AWD dual engine mini. I think this setup might even trump the AWD honda CRV set-up out there in price and performance.
Basically it would be a promotive r1 front kit
and a modified front subframe put in the rear with an r1 engine out back.
Basically a mini with TWO R1 Engines!
Why 2 engines? Not just because I want 360hp but because of the AWD make it worth it.
I figure two r1 engines are relatively light and shouldn't add to much weight.
Both would need to be newer R1 fuel injected engines with a fly by wire throttle system.
With the newer electronic throttle R1 engines the gas could be powered in sync to deliver
smooth power acceleration and keep both engines at the exact same RPM through acceleration and decelleration.
The car would be 2 chain drives one chain drive up front and one chain drive in the rear.
Exhaust could be twin with two 4 into 1 headers going out the back or to make it interesting fab up
one hell of a custom exhaust combining the front and rear 8 pipes into one outlet. Can you imagine what that might sound like? I sure can't!
Everything should be straight forward and not to challenging except or but and there is a very small but, the shifting issue. How the hell do you shift two engines simueltaniously? I came up with some ideas in my head like a custom shifting gear linkage that has links from the front and the rear both connected to the shift rod with one linkage being ran in reverse so that as you pull back on the shift the back motion triggers the front engine to shift by pushing linkage forward and the rear engine to shift by pulling linkage forward. Both clutch cables would need to be synchronized as well, or better yet a simple hydralic shifting unit modified to paddle shifting on the steering wheel.
On a side note with engine front and rear 50/50 weight distribution shouldn't be difficult to achieve making for great handeling. All in all it would be fun to see how this would pair up to other minis in cornering and total 0-60 performance.
With so many modified minis out there I have to think to myself surely sumone has already built a twin bike engine AWD mini?
Please feel free to share ideas questions and concerns about this type of set-up. I would like some feedback on the idea as well.

as it turns out there is a dual engine mini AWD out there, but not a classic mini.
It's a modern mini, still quite interesting.
