Hi

Has anybody got any pic of a lightened original subframe or tubular one?

Trying to lose some more weight.

Cheers

Hey, ive been designing one for a while now, soon as ive got the current job out of the way im going to start the prototypes, will send pics when i get started, just curios but what sort of suspension set up would you expct most people to use with a tubular frame?
i intended to make them for coilovers but think this may be costly for most?

Z-cars do a tubular one. I believe they do one to fit an A-series engine aswell? Will look similar to this one (only doesn't have to be purple :dontgetit: )

Apart from the weight the coilovers on a standard subframe look to be at an awkward angle. Plus I'm building my car as a track car so I want it as low as possible without upsetting the geometry.

The z-cars one doesnt look very stiff though.
