Righto - heres my dilemma.

I love my ickle doughnut 10" wheels. :D
I also love my stonking loud RC40 exhaust. :D

I hate speed bumps. :D

Everywhere I go there are speedbumps. They even sent me out another way from Stanford Hall the other week, where there was - yes you've guessed it a speed bump. Which made a lovely scraping noise. (mind you thats better than usual - I usually pull the exhaust off )

Sooo - do I do hi-lo's and jack it up? Does this make any difference?
Or - do I do the whole 12" wheel & disc conversion?

Cheers

Pippy

You have to keep the 10's, there must be a way to deal with the dreaded bumps without getting rid of them!!!

Im on 12's not lowered and i have to slow to a crawl to get over the bumps, or just nip inbetween them

:D

I know I really want to keep my 10" wheels.... it's just everywhere I go there is a bump and 9 times out of 10 I just can't get over it, without doing damage.

Just had a brain wave!

Hydraulic suspension!

Flick of a button gets you over bumps and bouncing down the road, nice!

Where is the exhaust getting knocked off? The RC40 when correctly fitted should be snug in the rear subframe. If you have a duel box system then I suggest that you ditch the middle box as I imagine this is the cause of your problems. The single box system should not be a problem if fitted properly, although I have knocked an exhaust off at the Y piece before over a rubber speed bump.

If you love your 10's that much get over it and deal with the speed bumps, don't whine. If you want to sort the problem get 12's

JamesM - as you have not paid your last months rent for keeping your car on my driveway I shall be sending it to the crusher tomorrow.

:D

Hydraulic suspension tho !! Hmmmmm wonder if that is doable!! He He

BenH - thanks for that - the exhaust does seem to fit quite snuggly, but it'sm still catching on the back box??? Oh, and I know what you mean about pulling it off at the Y piece. I did that on my old exhaust, in Tescos carpark!!!

Cheers

Hydraulic suspension is doable as it was on a mini at mini 45 in stanford (or wherever) park.

You would then just need to get some gangster tunes and some homies!

You can get three for the price of one, maybe it will fix your wings and lights!
