The brake setup looks great. Definitely an upgrade worth doing. Nice progress on your Clubman Estate.

Just read this from the start. Great work! Look forward to next instalment.
Cheers for that, don't think there are going to be any more posts till mid Sept now due to Kid been off school, but he's starting primary school so should get more time to work on it then, hopefully get it road worthy before next summer.

Been while but still not had much time so just been plodding along with a bit of filler work on the opposite side rear, nearly done don't hold much hope for primer next week, probably early Oct when hopefully get a bit more time. But photo of before and after bellow.

Managed to get the side painted a door and I've started working on one of the rear doors this week, slowly getting in shape.
The rear door just managed to strip the paint from one side, as it'll be next week when might get more work done on it I did put a bit of etch primer on to keep away the rust. Just needs a little filler on it to smooth of the points where the new skin was welded up, should only need a little, so should be an easy job there.

You're making really good progress on your Estate. How soon before it'll be painted?

Cheers, would like to say this side of this year but other things keep getting in the way so I'll just have to see how it goes, but will be nice to see colour on the outerside of the car.

Worked on my back doors this week, needed little filler on the edges and part that was welded but just a little skim as can be seen below, the other side was simular.
Then managed to get a coat of primer on them.
and the opposite side, didn't manage to get enough time to finish the back on this one, so that still needs cleaning up, any bits of rust removing and getting in primer. Next job is sorting the bonnet out priming it and then I'll be able to start getting colour on this.

School Holidays again last week so no work done then but this week made good progress. Finished of what hopefully is the last bit of filler work which was on the bonnet, and got some paint on one of the rear doors.
One of my favourite bits peeling back the plastic sheet on the paint stripper and paint comes off with the sheet.
Little bit of filler work needed on the front edge where the repair was done and some needed on top where I had to weld a couple of small holes. Looks quite good like this maybe I should just lacquer it at this!
Finally got some paint on one of the rear doors, didn't have much time left at end of week plus thought it would be good practice before painting larger areas. mmmmm shiny, some dirt nibs in but should polish if I get around to it, plus to be expected painting in such conditions.

Due to time and space(lack of it) I'm painting in different sections instead of all at once which would be nicer, but anyway the roof first seemed to take ages to flat it, them swages lines on it don't help and the guttering. Got a couple of sags, probably when trying to get paint into the guttering, will have to flatten and polish later and again bloody dirt nibs again extra work later.

Yes, but when it's finished the extra work will be forgotten and that colours worth it.Due to time and space(lack of it) I'm painting in different sections instead of all at once which would be nicer, but anyway the roof first seemed to take ages to flat it, them swages lines on it don't help and the guttering.
