Right. Bought a welder from eBay. As it was advertised nice mig welder. Won the bid all was happy.

At the time I was working two days straight. The other half said she would pick it up for me.

I get home to the welder as stated part from one thing. Its an arc welder.

Tried contacting the person. No reply. And eBay are not being helping.

Done some research. It works and seems ok. Will this work on my mini. As I have not heard one post saying anything ever about an arc welder?

You'd struggle to use an arc welder on Mini thickness panels.

it wont give neat welds like mig welding and very difficult for pulse welding. for heat disformation.

It will work but will create more holes than before you started welding. Mig is the best for welding on a mini, the body panels are to thin for arc and tig takes a lot longer, it's harder to do and the metal needs to be very clean.

Can you not go back to where you got it from and have a word.

I'm guessing that you paid in cash as it was collected? (i.e. no chance of a paypal dispute?)

Ebay should sort this for you. It's clearly not as advertised so just start a dispute and explain what is wrong.

Still go back to ebay and start a dispute. Just because you paid cash doesn't mean they won't do anything.
