I was thinking about installing a piar of 8" Vibe subs under the seats instead, and the just angle the plate to mount under the seat so they'll be able to fit in there. Another plus with the slight angle on the subs is that it will play right into the back of the seats.
Have anyone tried that?
I have a currently installed this in my car
- Clarion DXZ668RMP headunit
- Vibe black hex 5" in the front
- Vibe black hex 9 (6x9's) in the parcel shelf
But im sorta missing some base. I have also considered the Blackbox II amp from Vibe.

I'll see if i can borrow a digi cam.
But you'll recon that i'll get decent bass from those 8" subs?

Sorry yeah I think if you were to install the subs under the rear seats :
A. it would not haev the correct amount of bass
B.Non free air subs need to be in an MDF enclosure
C. possibility of rattling from the seat - (sound dedening)
What you fellow TMF members think ?

You would get plenty of bass though as there's enough space under the seats id say, just a case of fiberglassing an enclosure in there. Would sound louder and less directional aswell probably.
Two 8" subs is more surface area than one 12" sub (or pretty similar) off the top of my head so gonna get plenty of bass. Even one would produce more than a pair 6x9's.

They'll need to be well and truely sealed in, and be in a shared chambre, as they realy need about 15L each, but you can kinda cheat by using a shared volume and wadding. A little more power would be good also.

I never really got enough use out of the system which is a great shame really so have ditched it and am slowly transfering it all to the daily hack.
The system i did have consited of
Pioneer 7700mp headunit
2 channel kenwood amp
mono kenwood amp
6.5" kicker components
12" kicker sub mounted free-air in boot
PS2
7" widescreen monitor
