Hi TMF,
I'd like to introduce something I've been working on for a long time that's now available to buy.
I've always liked the idea of supercharging but wasn't too impressed with the 'suck through' kits that are currently available. A few years back Slark Race Engineering started to create a blow through kit, but that fell through and disappeared without a trace. So I decided to develop my own solution and, after 18 months of trial and error, here it is.
Podifold (POsitive DIsplacement maniFOLD) is a cast aluminium manifold that allows you to install a blow through system without any bodywork modifications or alterations to the existing ancillaries. It's designed around the commonly available Eaton M45 supercharger and the Metro turbo HIF44 carburettor and plenum chamber.
I'm posting this here now to see what you all think, answer any questions and even take on any suggestions you might have. Although it's available for sale now I understand people will be cautious about buying one until it's been tested and proven to work. My own engine is fully built and will be fitted and dyno'ed in around 6-8 weeks time.
There's more information on the website with installation instructions and diagrams to come: http://www.podifold.com
You can read my own build thread here: http://www.podifold.minipickup.org/
There's also my Instagram feed with lots more development pictures of the manifold: http://www.instagram.com/podifold
Final selling price will be £550 for the manifold with vacuum take-offs and a fitting kit available as extras.
For any TMF+ members crazy enough to buy one before I've run mine I'll offer a special 10% discount off the manifold price. That's £495 valid up until the day I put mine on a rolling road.
Please note that I won't be keeping any stock of these. Each one will be made to order and will need up to 28 days to allow for casting, cleaning, machining and delivery.
Jon.
