Happy to say I sent the V5 off about 3 weeks ago with the change, a rubbing of the chassis plate, copies of various info explaining it and the heritage certificate. Got it back yesterday all sorted. So a thumbs up for the DVLA on this occasion.

I had a similar problem as I bought a mk1 mini 850 on v5 but was a cooper ca2s7 body, a heritage certificate and a letter to dvla got it sorted easily, think as long as you are honest and don't hide anything there isn't a problem.
