Hi

I am looking into getting a fault code reader to help with the troubleshooting on my MPI. I have narrowed it down to an ACR2/4 or Snap-on MT2500.

Has anyone had an success with the Snap-on unit? will it work with the mpi assuming it has the correct ODB 16 pin lead and pod i.e. all vehicles. Do I need a personality key for it?

I am thinking of the Snap-on as these seem to come up on ebay more than the ACR's and the prices are similar. Any advice would be welcome.

Cheers

Luke.

I use a MT2500 on my SPI. I use the correct lead and two cartridges. 1) Trouble Shooter Cartridge Rover. P/N EESCGB228A. 2) Primary Cartridge Rover. P/N EESCGB222B. Both cartridges copyright 2000 Snap-On Inc. Don't know if these work on a MPI but the copyright year seems correct.
