If you've painted it in  a cold garage then it may well have bloomed.

I doubt it. The top coat will have flashed off by now. Youll probarbly find it'll look much better in the morning with natural daylight on it :)

What about the drop on top of the wing. Would it be ok to flat that tomorrow and blow over it.

You'd be best to leave any flatting until the paint has hardened, probarbly a good week. You might make it worse by trying to fix it now. If it were me, Id micro flat the spot with a very small square end of wood with wet & dry on it, then flat the panel and buff back up. How did you get a drip from the gun, was the paint flow rate too high ?

No I filled it with paint, got to the wing and a big drip dropped onto the wing.

Is it smooth to touch, as it can be dull if put on too dry, not got any experience with cellulose as I used 2k gloss on mine but it needs to be applied wet, you may get it shiny by flatting with p2000 followed by p4000 then g3 compound. I found when beginning to paint applying dry was a common mistake.

Just out of interest, what would cause the paint to leave the gun too dry as when I was spraying the other day I think I had this issue. Thanks

Could be a number of things, air pressure too high, paint fluid flow too low, distance from panel too far, speed of travel too high being common reasons.

Agreed Daz. It can be tricky getting it to go on just right without it laying on too dusty or too wet so it runs. I try to lay it on so it just starts to shine, any longer and it'll run, any less and as you say it's too dry and stays dull. I think its common to hold the gun too far from the surface sometimes. I found this was my biggest mistake, and Im still trying to get it right.

My paint will surely polish up its either overspray sitting on it making it feel rough or its been sprayed dry. Thinking of spraying the doors, boot and bonnet next whilst off the car then fitting them back to the car. Once all the panels are refitted I may wet fla it all and give it another good coat of paint again.

I used 1.5 litres to do the shell. Should have enough paint left to do the rest I hope.
