hi all, right im getting pee-ed of by my driver side indercator repeater,. i had the wing replaced last year and the pannel he put on didn't have the hole cut, so he cut one, the problem is its in the wrong place, and i can't fit any archs but standerd to the car becasue its to low on the wing. so i want to move it to the right place, i have spoke to P&L minis and they say the cheepist way to do it is to replace the WING!! this seems made to me, i would just fill and spray over the hole and drill the new one, what do you all think and is there any body shop people here who would like some work??

Take it back to the garage they are the ones who put it in the wrong place.
Or, just buy the genuines sportspak arches because the arch sits flush with the repeater, so all you'll have to do is paint the exposed metal edges on your new and old hole, to protect from rust. The hole itself will be covered by the arch.

Place down by me charges £100 a wing including sprayed, would seem a bit expensive just to move an indicator!!!!!! get a price to get the old hole filled merged and sprayed, and a new one cut. but as Alburger says, take it back to the garage you got the work done they can't charge you full price seems it was their fault in the first place, try and come to a negotiation with them to pay 50% or something.

if i made a hole in the wrong place , I would rectify the problem for free and give a courtisy car while your car was being fixed
take it back , tell them to fit a new wing , spray it and the put the hole in the right place , you dont want it fixed , you payed for a new wing , you want a new wing ! and you want this work done imidiatly and for free , if they refuse , tell them you are going to trading standards , they will lose and have to pay costs as well
or , you will take it somewhere else to be rectified and they will be sued for the bill and costs and of course car hire because you will have to do without your car .
and i quoted someone last week £100 to suply , fit and spray a mini wing (metalic)

i have possibley been having silly thoughts, what about a flip front? how much do u think the fitting and spraying cost would be, it was solve my problem and been very very useful , i have the grill off evey few days and it would make some other jobs very nice and easy to do to. what are the best fronts to go for? 1 peace or 2 where the bonnet is serpertate? is this a good idea or is it abit of over kill just to get a side repater in the right place?

Look at the thread from a couple of weeks back about flip fronts.
They are not safe and are definately not a good thing to do to any Mini unless you are going to fit a really comprehensive multi-point FIA standard roll cage, welded in, plus full harness belts, etc.
I'll try to find the thread and bring it up to the top.
