the musical ones arent illegal as long as u dont get caught using them on the road and you still have a standard horn.

The airhorns that dont play a tune i believe are legal though

simply run it to a new switch or button in your dash instead of just using the existing wires.

Not much really, though depends one how many horns you have and finding a place to mount them, i would say most of the problem is mounting the horns themselves and the wiring is pretty simple stuff really just and matter of either running a wire to the battery, finding an earth puttin a switch and fuse in, you can buy installation kits for them aswell i believe.
I not got one yet in the mini but had one in my corsa :withstupid: still trying to decide what to go for. I seen a couple i am liking, a 144db one :dontgetit: that fire engine one i really want but need a big compressor or i could get one of the musical variety

dont just wire them up to your old horn wire unless that is power from a relay,if you wire these musical horns up without wiring them to a relay they will not only sound very quite but you will more than likely start poping fuses as they draw more currant than the normal standard mini horn's. but as i say the early mini didnt have relays on the horn loom ..

i have a small pair of horns on the bulkhead next to the wiper motor. they are wired so they are my main horn, the standard one doesnt work any more. got through the mot, so apparently this is ok. sound great too.
