Yes I have used it many times on aluminium, if you use normal filler on aluminium its impossible to feather the edges back but with the aluminium filler its softer and better for edging.

My understanding is - Fillers are a mixture of a two pack resin and something for bulk. Cheap fillers often use powder that absorbs water, this is fine if the filler is sealed in 100% but if exposed to water will ruin the steel underneath. The best fillers use a bulking agent that is impervious to water.
I've used fillers with aluminium in them for over 20 years and wouldn't use anything else.

i bought some from halfords (Davids?) and its the stuff with added metal. Its ok, but i found that its harder to sand, and i have had big notches come out when sanding (though the last problem may be down to my technique)
ibwould just buy standard filler!

Post says this is filler with aluminium in it, NOT filler for aluminium !

If you read what I have said, I find it best for aluminium for the reason stated.
