Due to a change of plans my K1200rs head and throttle bodies are now up for sale.
The head and throttle bodies were removed from a formula BMW car (the series uses remapped standard K1200rs engines) with only 3 hours run time that was involved in a big enough accident to damage the bottom of the block. A complete new engine was supplied by AC Schnitzer and the damaged engine was sidelined for scrap. The head was completely untouched in the incident, as was most of the rest of the engine but the teams don't take the units apart for salvage so this head has literally done 3 hours run time.
Comes with the full set of valves, springs, followers, cams, injector spigots and some new K nuts for the exhaust side ready for reassembly.
I have stripped the head and had it welded properly by preheating prior to welding to avoid any distortion so it now requires only a skim on the fire face and sides, reassembly, and the cam cover cutting flush before fitting to an A series.
