The tower ones look like they just need a little removing for them to sit down nicely.

side need the returns just buzzing lightly to get them in.

Everything needs fully welding now it's all on.
The panel fit near the tie bar mounts is a bit ropey as you have probably found out with yours but once it's all clamped on it pulls in good enough to weld.

Had a play and the fit seems better than I thought. Need to give feed back re the front stabilizer bracket and I need to think if I actually plan on using it.

The front stabiliser bracket on this frame had broken off (as they do) so I just cut the remnants off as I won't be using it.
Going to hopefully get this finished tomorrow now the bump stops and rebound rubbers have come and should hopefully get it painted with some epoxy too.

Just a tickle needed.

Now to work out where to apply these.

then it looks like I will be remaking a set of these after the locators arrive for Skiddy allowing the subframe to be raised in the body.

What are those round things?

Dimple dies. They put a flare on your lightening holes. Urchfab used a very large one in his video assembling his subframe. These are smaller versions. The holes here have not been dimpled.

Let us know how you go on with the dimple dies on that gauge of steel. I can see it being tough going unless you have an impact driver.
What size die are you using for the front rail?

Been a busy day. Some learning and math.

Some marking up and drilling.

Realizing they were too close together so only dimple alternative ones

GEGFM1m.jpg

then play on the sides.

h0Liyv5.jpg

could not dimple the top of the cross bar due to the front dimples.

Went to pick up two other top arms and came away with something else as well.

some of you may have heard about the Mig boys raising the subframe into the body. I was thinking that there was some locating spacer that would go on top of the subframe. But no the subframe just goes straight onto the cross member and you then fit spacers below the bolt head to take up the extra.

shame I can’t use them but they are going back.

If you bolt the subframe direct to the bulkhead thus lowering it into the body what happens at the toe board mounts?

All the other mounts need to be different.

Who sells these Nick?

Arnold from KAD mentioned they did them but nothing on their page. Have asked them today. But most likely be making my own.
