Right cat arrived. now need to make the openings the right size and get the welder out again.

just checking that the manifold will not fit

not a hope in hell.

ordered a new tray for the tool box and bought some stuff to use as a drawliner on the new cheap tool box

second socket tray for the 1/4 and 3/8 AF sockets to go with the MM tray.

also had a sort out of the other socket rail and you can see the material i used for the liner

 

most of these are 1/2" but are rarely used, the used ones are in the roll cab.

 

should have the exhaust sorted later this week just need to bash some metal.to get correct shape and fit.

well after a week or so arsing about with where to put the cat. cutting tube and then welding it back together i have a solution.

finish off the last bracket. but dont have the rubbers so will have to just mount it direct for now so i can get the rest sorted and fitted.

last bracket made  but not yet fitted as i am waiting on the rubbers as mentioned above so it was time to get the rear "diffuser" to fit

cut a hole

 enlarge it a bit

 need to measure up and remake a deeper center section

that needs cutting down before welding in place

if you were wondering about the mounts/hangers

threads need trimming.

started fitting this evening should be finished tomorrow.

sooooo inspection hatch for the cat (rules and regs).

 

finished welding up most of the exhaust and brackets so while waiting for things to cool and paint dry i finished of sorting sockets.

Looks neat - is the idea of the housing to keep heat in the exhaust to aid flow or for aerodynamics?

i think i will actually need to get heat out of the system. see video and pics above.
