If you're removing it then it pulls through towards the boot so you pull the bullet connectors at the front end of the loom through.

Tie some string to it as a draw rope for re-installing later......

Slather a bit of silicon grease or similar on the loom to help it slip through

Although perhaps not that if you're about to re-paint - washing up liquid?

About those pesky  bullet connectors,  not a single one would undo.  All that happened was the wires pulled out of the backs.  On a positive, I guess that will make it easier to draw out and back in....

Just had a read from start to finish on your thread Zeemax89, very interesting reading.  Rather unfortunate you didnt get much traffic through it at the early stages but Ive enjoyed having a read whilst bored at work.  Keep up the good work.

Many thanks Jgg.  I am not bothered about the traffic, it's more for my own record of work carried out.  Might also be of use if i even need to sell the car..

Yay got back onto the mini this week as I am now under serious pressure to get it moved.

 

Removed Dash top rail section ready for fabrication of the 3 joining panels

Here I am checking the bend angle for the screen rubber lip.  I cut this with a jigsaw following the template outline
