Well I've been recently working towards getting the car rolling. With that, I've painted and started on the subframe

I needed to re-drill the trunnion holes as most of them had vanished when I welded all the new steel in, so I gave it a quick test fit...

Sits where it needs to, so not a bad result at all i think!

Then I set about sprucing up the engine bay.

More paint tomorrow with any luck...

A bit of real progress - this car is now waxoyled underneath, and on its front and rear frames.

Engine in on the weekend, if all goes to plan...

Well today was the day!

With that, we scooted the newly painted engine into the shed.

Work continues.

Rear offside suspension is pretty much there.

Main task this weekend was to paint the inside so i can start bolting things up (like pedals, column etc.)

16639041530_b6cfbdec38_b.jpg

Next suspension task, the other rear radius arm - check out this beauty  (this is your usual mini starting point...)

When i did get the pin free, it looked like this:

I've ordered a refurbishment kit so when that arrives i will have this arm back in shape again. Once thats done, and it's painted, the car should be rolling on its back wheels!

Its finally rolling on all four wheels.

With that done, i started fitting the 7.5" brakes.
