That's what i thought.

I was genuinely not expecting the bulb to flash.

Not well is it. What does the flashing bulb suggest? (Excuse ignorance, never had an oil burner).

That is the side repeater off of the car which i cut from the loom and pushed the wires into the injector wiring plug.

I did it to test if the ECU was sending a signal to the injector. The flashing light suggests that it is which means that the wiring is not at fault.

It must be mechanical, either the piston or a valve or something

Gonna whip the head off anyway and put us out our misery?

Perhaps in a few days time?

Thing is i want to try and sell the car on complete as i really don't want to be messing around removing and selling parts. If i remove the head, it will be well and truly stricken and my driveway goes down a steep slope beside the house and then round the back so trying to get it out once stripped will be nigh on impossible

Ill think on it for a few days. See if i knew what i was going to find once stripped and it's just a valve or something then i would probably sort it, new HG and fix it.

Looking more and more like the seller was somewhat 'economical' with the truth to say the least.

There is this, but will it do any good?

Is that the problem?

Things i won't know until i remove the head but i am reluctant for the reasons in my previous post

He must have known it was more serious.

He seemed so genuine though, I guess he is just a good actor or rips people off often

Both i expect

I wouldnt throw anymore money at it. At the moment all you lost is a lot of time. If you scrap it you will get most of your money back at least.

If i do decide to try and sell it on complete, i shall state exactly what i have done and what i think MAY be the problem. Valve, piston etc

I don't want to rip anyone off. The seller did tell me that he had higher offers after i paid a deposit which is encouraging for a re-sale but i don't exactly have any reason to trust him on that do i!

Ben
