100 bhp and forced induction is easily achievable without too much of a high spec. decent head, cam and some forced induction 10 psi and you should hit 100 easily

I'm interested in your power figures here. I've had my supercharged mini on 2 different rolling roads and only 93bhp at the wheels was achieved, I've made everything correctly, smoothed and purges all the welded joints for better flow, boost is 10psi, but what are you doing to get 100bhp at the wheels? are you using a carb or fuel injections?? This isn't a dig, just interested......

I graham sorry I didn't mean ATW or specifically a sc setup. ATW figures as you know are much harder to achieve, plus you need to take into account the transmission losses, so improvements here will help, oh and tyre pressures can also fool rollers a little....

I use fuel injection however it's no more than an electronic carb. It does however massively improve mpg! I used two tanks of fuel less getting to Combe and back this year over previous years! You can just tune it much more accurately including tb sizes. On the rollers I use I have achieved a couple of bhp down on your figures with my small bore I would have thought your extra cc have to be worth more, but then no two sets of rollers are the same I guess.
A good head is worth it, plus I have found they seem to like a more aggressive cam than turbo engines.

Ah right, that ok then!! I've got a really good ported headed, but running a Swift cam, our car isn't a racer, more of a tour, but the down side is its 20mpg! I am looking at putting a water jacket around the supercharger inlet manifold, running its own water system with pre-rad, this way I might get away with 15% pulley and not have to knock back the ignition too much

I used to get about 25 mpg, this year to Combe it was mid to late 30's they change was to injection were you can run much leaner on cruse as you control the fuel delivery rather than the charger.... With the cost of fuel it only takes a few long runs to make you money back. As I say I used two tanks less that got to be £45 :)
