[The Matt]

I mentioned in another thread the other day that I've always had a list of cars I long to own.  It's called "The Dirty Dozen" and yeah, you guessed it, it's 12 cars!

 

So, one line, one picture per car...here goes:

 

Ford RS200, Group B glory days of rally rolled into one BUFF little package?

 

Ford RS1700T, Pretty mad for an Escort, but oh-so-tasty!

 

Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, tarmac, gravel, whatever...great history in motorsport.

 

Lancia Delta HF, because more doors for more chores and I'd need a shopping car, right?

 

Porsche 964 Turbo, "Bad boys, Bad Boys, Whatcha gonna do?"

 

Aston Martin DB5, no explanation needed here!

 

Ferrari Dino, just wow. Class, style, Italian stallion

 

Lamborghini Diablo SV, mad and bad, but oh so pretty!

 

Pug 205 T-16, Group B inspired again, just amazing looks and great pedigree.

 

Nissan Skyline R34 GTR (V-Spec) because Need for Speed!

 

Porsche 356, IMO the most beautiful car made (each to their own).

 

Aston Martin Vantage, because I want to wear a suit and pack a Walther PPK.

See my thread about were the Ruskies right to limit choice thread. I struggle to get below 100!, some are always around the top 10 though, Triumph TR5, Alfa Romeo Giulia sprint, Lancia stratos, ariel atom, Maserati MC12, Mazda Rx7 (late one, got to have a rotary), blower Bentley, Capri RS3100 and Rs2600, lotus esprit, then it just goes a bit variable depending on what I see, mk1 land rovers, Trabants, fiat 500, XJ220, almost every Lancia, most alfas, there isn't a lotus I couldn't live with. I don't think I could ever get to twelve!

Edit: forgot the Citroen DS, would love one of those but I have no idea why!

first up, my absolute dream car... 1969 Dodge Charger, preferably fitted with a blown hemi

 

 

Ferrari F40. beautifully simple

 

 

Eagle Low Drag GT.... i mean... just look at it!!!! that combined with modern tech, how can you argue  

 

 

Liberty Walk Lamborghini Murcielago ... looks absolutely crazy

 

 

Austin 7 Ulster. love these things, so much character. and pretty damn historic

 

 

BAC Mono. for some serious track day hooning

 

 

1970 Plymouth Superbird. the only car that can pullof a wing that big... and yes i would have it on racing steelies and done up to look like Richard Petty's 

 

 

Toyota Supra. done up as a proper drift ******* for some slidey sideways hooning!

 

 

McLaren F1 GTR. i dont even have a reason i just really really want one haha

 

 

1959 Austin Healy Sprite. ive grown up with this car, so many memories in one. id have it in this colour with the bumper removed, but sitting on 70s wolfrace slotmag style alloys (just like my dads)

 

 

BMW E30 M3. so much love for these, and this one just looks so badass

 

 

and finally, some form of rat rod or hot rod, probably based on a Model A body

 

 

 

 

this has been a lot harder than i thought it would be, so many more cars i had to leave out!

I wanted so many more. Mercedes 190 Cosworth. E30 M3. Lotus Carlton. Lotus Sunbeam. Lotus Cortina. Lamborghini Countach. Renault 5 Turbo 2. Lancia Montecarlo EVO. Maclaren F1. Shelby Cobra. F40. Testarossa. RUF CTR2. RUF Yellowbird. Jaguar XJ220. There would probably be 50+ cars I'd get if I could. Just too much precious metal to choose from. But I've had this dirty dozen list for a while. So it's the one I'm sticking with. I have upgraded the Vantage though, on my original list I had an 80s Vantage in its place. My old man used to have an AMV8 of the same era and the sound was amazing!

Clio V6 - bonkers idea, poorly executed, but it doesn't matter, because its a v6 in a Clio!

 i know right? i dont think my list would ever stop! had to leave out stuff like a splitty camper, or lambo mura, or ferrari 250 GTO.... or any detriot muscle car! - hemi cuda, GT500, roadrunner GTX, yenko camaro.... now im drooling all over my laptop....

Well my dirty dozen as most is pretty wide and varied.  Mix of fast, slow and plain old beautiful cars. (Although ask me again tomorrow and you will get a different dozen haha!
 
1. My dream car since it came out in 2003.  Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.  The predecesor to the F430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale it wiped the floor with the competition.  Plus the shorter wheelbase, different front and swept spoiler look stunning!  Although with prices sitting at arond £200k (£130k new...) it'll never happen!
 

 
2.  The balls out crazy hypercar. The Pagani Zonda F. Full bare carbon, titanium fasteners throughout and a mind boggling attention to detail. Simply gorgeous and that V12 sings!


 
3.  The daily driver.  Audi RS6 Avant.  Remapped by MTM this thing has well over 700bhp.  In a family estate.  Mental.
 

 
4.  McLaren P1 in full bare carbon.  The most developed road car ever, designed and built in the UK.  There are two in Aberdeen already but hey ho
 

 
5.  The proper classic.  Ferrari 250GTO.  Possibly the best looking car on earth in my eyes.  Stunning!
 

 
6.  For cruising down to the South of France for the Monaco Grand Prix we have a Ferrari F12
 

 
7.  Classic racing car that would get used as it was intended.  Porsche 917
 

 
8.  Modern classic, Singer 911.  Hand built to your spec to better than factory finish.
 

 
9.  RWB (Rauh Welt Begriff) Porsche 964 911.  Bit of a marmite choice but I love them as they aree one mans take on a classic.  Nakai is a car modifying god!  Well executed and very very capable on both road and track.
 

 
10.  Ferrari F40.  Because its an F40 LM
 

 
11.  Jaguar XK-SS.  King of cool Steve McQueen drove one and they look awesome.
 

 
12.  Trig I suppose......

My dad had the first picture, the RS200.

Well it was kind of one, it was a Kara430, a sapphire cossie in a posh frock.

was still mint being dropped off at school though, it had an overfuelling problem once, and would spit flames out the back.

The 360 CS is on the list, as is the 911 GT3 RS. Beautiful cars. I would also keep my GP, but money no object would have it made mint.

1. GTM Coupe. Just because it's awesome. My one would have a blower...

 

 

2. Ferrari 275 GTS. Very possibly one of the most beautiful cars ever made. And not quite as bonkers expensive as a 250 GT California...

 

 

3. Chrome Merc Mclaren SLR. Just because.

 

 

4. Dodge Ram. For towing duties. And because it's bigger than anything else on the road bar an Artic!

 

 

5. A touch of track-day fun. The most awesome racing car ever.

 

 

6. 427ci AC Cobra. The Daddy. And it'll fit on my driveway!

 

 

7. Porsche 928GTS. For those cross-Europe weekend drives.

 

 

8. Porsche 959. Overshadowed by the bonkers F40, but this was a technological marvel in 1985.

 

 

9. Vector W8. Just because it has lots of aircraft technology and looks like every schoolkid of the 80s' dream car.

 

 

10. Jaguar XJ13. Well a replica anyway...

 

 

11. Westfield SEight. If I'm going to die going backwards on fire through a wall, better make it quick...

 

 

12. Bruce the 1330GT. I'll build a replica one day...
