My rear subframe seems to have been bent along the rear beam, is there any way to straighten this or would i need a new subframe ?

It can be tweaked back to shape but it does depend on how bad its bent though.

The rear subframe 'beam' often gets bent along the bottom edge by the use of trolley jacks which is unsightly but rarely bad enough to warrant replacing the subframe.....as long as the top face is still straight and true.

The rear section of the subframe is a U shaped section so what is being said is if the lower section of beam is distorted and not the upper section you should be able to straighten it.

If both are distorted then there maybe issues at each end where the crossmember attaches to the side sections.

Mine was bent like this and I replaced it.

A picture of yours would definitely help, you could also measure it to see how much it has distorted if at all.

Usually a big hammer and a block of wood will sort it!!

Its a pretty common occurrence really, usually caused by towing or winching on the frame.  If the rest of the frame is ok then, just whack it out, you'll find it pops back pretty easily.

Definitely no reason to scrap the frame and spend £200 on a new one.
