The S Class is the championship I am racing in.
We run
std engine running single barrel webber
Std gearbox
1set of tyres will last a season
Entry fees are less than mightys
We don't need to run regulation bumpers etc just std parts
Fiberglass front makes them so much easier to work on!
Dampers are fixed to keep costs lower
Great club with evening BBQ's on most race weekends great atmosphere and competitors
The S Class is a great start if you want to step up to the 7's as you only need to change engines/gearbox and straight into that class
(Plus we are faster than the Mightys too ;) )
Pm me I'm more than happy to answer any questions about costs etc

MMM's are road cars converted to run on a track. Mini7's are purpose built racing cars. Following on from Shaun's overview, an S-class se7en is much cheaper than Roger Tello would have you imagine lol.
I'd advocate you go and have a look at both series before making a choice

The regs in the 7s seem a bit lax

See the linky and.....
...make you're own mind up. The things the club is less strict on is where you are allowed to source your replacement parts from. The European monopolies commission would have no problem with the business ethic of the Mini7 racing club lol.
All forms of motorsport have regulation interpretation. I'd welcome any particular critique on things that may need to be tightened up IYHO.

Fwdracer ;) you got it ;) great advice about seeing both in track, and if it's a racecar mini you want it's 7's route
BronkoMini regs for both are very good long time in the making just the 7's side don't require you to have all the interior, dash, door cards, windy windows etc, what in particular along the regs do you mean? Lax

Baldspeed the trucks are crazy even the marshals sit with the spectators away from the edge!! Pop over and say hello! Looking forward to seeing the new equipment!

There not quite as strict as I would have thought, you have a bit of play to do what you want or your way of interpreting it.

Follow the previously posted above linky... All S-class info is there. It is essentially a powertrain derivative (albeit cheaper to initially build and maintain) of a regular Mini7. Upgrading to a full se7en when either the inclination or funds allow is therefore very straightforward.
