Dont think id call welding  up some of the rim slots easy to do Ben ;), I can't balance them

 

I do like the clean lines down the sides, although the door handles and lock ar needed  , oh & stupid Plod wouldn't be happy if there were no side repeaters like that    .

Come to think of it, my old y reg i briefly had didnt have them, they were reflectors

Did a very quick bit of research which suggests that post 86 side repeaters were compulsory. So you definitely could go with Ben's idea :)

Don't quote me but i believe that you can only get away with no side repeaters if the front indicators can be seen from the side as well as the front. Something like that anyway.

 

If it could be done, then it would be better without them for sure, ugly great things

Yeah I agree, not many cars suit the extra side repeater.

Yeah from what i read that's the case post 86, so before it was just front and rear.
I hope its the case, like you say, they're certainly not sleek little things

Did you notice the lack of bonnet vents Cliff?

 

Shame one would have to stay otherwise, it looks better IMO
