Just welded my DIY Subframe Mounting Brackets onto my Heelboard Repair Panels, all went well and then I test fitted the Bolts, the bolts went in OK but then would not come out, eventually they did but managed to chew up both threads internally and on the bolts.

That's about a weeks worth of fabricating and welding out the window AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Just phoned M-Machine and ordered 2 x Heelboard Repair Panels with Brackets Fitted and 4 x 5/16 UNF Bolts to go with them. Hopefully have them for the day after tomorrow? Thant the lord for M-Machine.

I think it because I fitted the bolts while the metal was still hot - schoolboy error!!

It looks like you're problem was using nyloc nuts and the nylon locking has melted into the bolt hole you should have you're bits tomorrow from m-machine mine are always delivered next day

Bloody hell that's not good, saying that though there is some serious weld on those nuts.

Don't worry we all make mistakes so it's a case of racking it up to experience this time. Not any consolation I know.

Agreed^^ those nuts wouldn't budge for nothing! ;D .

Something you could have done is Tapped out the threads to straighten things out I guess, although I don't know is they were imperial to staet with being Nyloc.

At least you know now :proud:

There definitely not nyloc, it was a Minispares Heelboard that I had modified by adding a bottom flange and the DIY Inner Sill Bracket, made a bloody good job of it until I ball@** it up. I had been using 5/16 UNF Bolts to hold it into my Jig? That's one in it, I threaded the other one when I used one of the Bolts from my Subframe Bolt and Bush Kit?? Like I said it went in but wouldn't come out.

I did think of tapping it out but I would have had to go to an Engineering shop and then the bolts may have been too big for my Subframe Brackets?

They are not Nyloc they are captive bolts in a Minispare Heelboard Repair Panel that I modified, I just overcooked them I reckon :-(
