Yikes, 22nd December my last update? wow.
Plenty to show , hope you have a comfy seat :)
Not much happened over the xmas break, other than mince pies and vodka, Mr mini took the back seat.
Come January I decided to pull the finger out. As some of you will remember I accepted the challenge from my fellow car club enthusiasts to paint the mini myself, it couldn't be done they said........
What a disaster, I'm nearly 1 and a half months into priming, block sanding, priming , block sanding! If the final paint isn't straight then I don't no what is :)
I digress, onwards and upwards chaps. Right now, as of today the car has the roof painted and just a few tweaks left before the green is lashed on. Quick cut n polish and then I will retire from my short lived painting career! Think I will stick to MTB.
Let the pics tell the story thus far.... each pic is progressively more primer and then block sanding. Lat few pics are the roof painted :)

The hard work will pay off, I mean just look at that roof!

Cheers Jared, the roof is rather smooth if i do say so myself. A few nibs to be cut out but nothing a 2000 grit wet n dry and a good buff wont sort

Nice one Dave.
Flatting primer seems like the end of the world when you have to keep re-applying and re-flatting again going round in circles but it defiantly pays off.
If the body comes out as well as the roof, your laughing!

Nice one Aaron, I will do a few pics of the custom wiper motor mount when the time comes to fitting it.
