I'd pulled my headlining out years ago and never got round to sorting it, until now. I decided it was time to fit a stereo (i'd been running my iphone + amp set up for years). So i bought a mechless radio/sd/USB as it's a lot shorter than a normal stereo. and plonked it up here.

and then covered everything in comic books :D I think the door cards are next.

I also fit a strip of hose pipe along the front edge before covering, it gives it an nice rounded edge, and i thought just incase i bang my head it's a bit softer than MDF.

and rather geekily made stickers for SD card albums.

Superb effort. How did you stick the comics? The radio looks great, and there's a little shelf above?

cheers - yeah there's a shelf too. i had to put a lip on the shelf edge, otherwise everything flies of onto you when you drive.

I coated the roof with PVA and wallpaper lining, and then did that again. then PVA'd the comics on. they then had a couple coats of clear varnish - so it's kinda quite solid.

Looks fantastic, i take it there is no sound proofing or anything behind the comics?

I did think about lining it but there's little point. It'd still be a really loud car.

yeah go for it. After i'd done this, i saw b&Q sold marvel wallpaper - would have saved me a load of effort if i'd just bought a roll of that - if that's the look you're after.

That's ironic AS I ACTUALLY work there...never thought about that I was gonna ask you what comics you used as I.ve just read that you have to use pictures from a laser printer as with some comics the print and ink will run ?
How did you get on with that ?

Just used an inkjet on regular paper. It does bleed a little bit from the glue and varnish, found a load online from the golden age - 40s/50s, so the slight fuzziness suits it.
