For sale is my 1998 R reg ldv convoy race van, mot until feb 2015, 134000 miles, no tax, Reliable and good on fuel
Converted to take a mini in the back, ramps go up and over the wheelarches, when the mini is out of the van the ramps fold out to form the base for a double airbed, fold down gas cooker, 240v hookup & wiring for invertor (not included) includes loading ramps and winch, loads of storage for tools and parts, massive roofrack with lockable storage for 10 wheels and tyres, roofbox, mp3 / cd player
Bit of a plodder but always gets where you want to go, also surprisingly comfortable, have never got out of it feeling tired or stiff, few scabby bits on the body but solid in the right places and its never given me much to worry about at mot time, this year was a couple of brake pipes and thats it
Bad bits, no 4th gear, it didnt have one when i bought it and i was given a spare gearbox with the van (which i will include) but ive never got around to fitting it, its easy enough to skip from 3rd to 5th, previous owners reckon 4th went about 7 years ago, thats how used to it you get!
diffs getting noisy, will need attention soon, Windscreen leaks a bit in heavy rain, back doors need a good slam to shut
Has served me well for a season and a half of mighty minis but i need something bigger for trading at shows as well as a race van and at the moment i dont need a race van at all as i wrote my mighty off last week, so its an ideal time for me to sell
built to take mighty / super mighty minis which run on standard width 12" cooper wheels and arches, dont know if you would get anything wider in ive never tried but i dont see why not, ideal starter van for mightys or transport for a trackday car?
