Hi;

I have a couple of welds that I need to dress down but I cannot get to them. They are in the front of the Subframe in the recess where the Radius Arm Fits and I don't want to leave them and paint only to find they are in the way when I do the rebuild.

Does anyone have a Power File that I could borrow or know where I could get this dressed down for a small charge or free.

I don't really want to buy one as I won't get much use out of it and its project money that I have not factored :-(

Thanks for looking

hi you could use a carbide bullnose burr.if you can get access with a drill you should be able to do it but be careful they do take a lot of material off,you can get these of ebay  (ps wear safety goggles when using them)

Like these have you had success with them? I would need one with a longish shank.

Yes i do use these they are handy to have in your tool box i just measured one of mine and it's 63mm end to end but you will need to have at least 12mm into the drill chuck. i have extended these b4 but you need a tig welder and v- block 6mm bar,  You can buy longer shank ones on ebay ,

I popped into town today and found these in B&Q (nothing in Wikes or Homebase), no Burrs anywhere:

Not being a fan of stones I opted for the Rotary Files, I thought being Bosch they should be OK:

Anyway here's the result:

Plenty of metal removal and I also removed the ledge at the bottom but forgot to take a Photo. They didn't wear down that much either so will be good for a few more goes if I need them.

Job done, nearly ready to paint, just need to finish welding tomorrow, then prime, then top coat.
