I've seen that most people use the U pol tiger seal, but I was wondering if anybody has used the brush on stuff. I found it on the frost web site, here's a link. http://www.frost.co....eam-sealer.html
I just thought that it might be easier and look more like the original factory stuff, because it appears to have brush marks in it. I guess the bottom line is.....is it any good.??

I haven't used the frost stuff but always use brushable stuff (I can check the make if you are interested). I like it and have never had a problem with it.

That's good to know, thanks. I don't think the stuff on the frost web site is actually there own brand, so yours may be the same. I just thought brushing it on maybe a better way to get a nice even coverage and a tidy appearance

I've just bought a tin of Tetraseal Brushable seam sealer. Never used it before, I just got it because it's easy. Just whack it on with a brush xD

i have used Frosts brush on sealer on the camper, I find it looks better if you tape an edge either side of where you want to use it and then remove the tape to have a nice clean line.

Just checked and mine is tetrasyl as well. Its in a green/ grey and white tin. I think it was about £12 but that was a while ago as it lasts ages.

I used some tetrasyl brush on that I bought from jawel paints. I do prefer the tigerseal type of product though and just cut a nozzle to the width of bead I need, seems to be neater to use, this product is basically same as tigerseal just cheaper and is great in car applications

I used sikaflex out of the tube, masking tape along each side of where I wanted the bead to be, squeezed it out with the gun and smoothed it out with a finger. I then took a brush and taped up the hairs so only about 10mm was protruding so the hairs were stiff then went over the smoothed sealer with the brush giving it the brushed look then removed the tape. I found once the tape was pulled off i had to go over the edged with the brush as the tape being removed lifted the edge of the sealer.

you're meant to use masking tape to stop the edges peeling up.

I only used the tape to keep it neat. I found it still had to be smoothed out after the tape was removed, as the tape actually lifts the edges

i normally warm it a bit and edges seem to be fine, they do sometimes peel a bit but i just push them down and they seem to dry and stick ok.
