Still need to get it on a weighbridge though, would be interesting to see how much weight hasbeen saved.
Anyway - a short video of the car in action at a local club event:

my daily driver is completely & utterly stripped ie rear bins& seat-pan,soundproofing,rearvalance,grp bonnet&boot, FIA rollcage among other stuff & i'm looking at ways to make it lighter with the standard components all the time, i'd like to get into a bit of autotesting, a great driving skill for sure,
you have a really nice car there, good driving too!

if anyone (god forbid) crashes into you and claims they didnt see you I think you would have grounds to smack them and demand they get an eye test!

Gearboxes are home modified jobs - welding the reverse and fourth gear selector together and then rmoving fourth and blocking up the gate into where reverse normally is. Reverse is then where 4th is and 3rd & 4th don't exist. Its a fiar bit of work and fannying around so I don't think it would be worthwhile in a hill climb car as you are not looking for fast changes into reverse like I am.
The GT was a 1980 I think, just took the last parts off it to resign it to the scrap yard I do now have a '72 GT though

Nope still not got it weighed - its a ballache as I'd have to load it up onto a trailer etc specially when there was somewhere open. I will get it done one day though.

Hi Graeme,
Im planning on modifing my gearbox so that reverse is where second normally is. Can you give me anymore information or advice on how its done?
Thanks.

[/quote] Thanks for the info I have now bought a JKD Dogbox on Ebay, brand new, so next time the engine is out of the car, I will fit this, I will just have to check which ratio I bought? I saw on JKDs website that they make 4 different ratios? I also have a 1275GT, its from 1973, but not for race, as its a Wood & Pickett built thingie too heavy-but very quiet to drive. Here is a picci of them
