Majestic boxes arrived from various mini retailers. hardened steel drive flanges, full negative camber kit from minisport with polly bushes, and some fresh arches to paint up.

Great adventure awaits.

Huddersfield's group 6, practically group 2 wides. Decided to go for them since i wont have to drill different holes. I might widen them myself.

Also found a set of 12" steels which should arrive tomorrow, will use them for winter and trim my current arches to suit, then i'll get them banded to 7" rear and 6" fronts.

What size studs did you use for your steels? Since the mounting faces aren't very fat. currently for my revolutions im having to use the 78mm long studs just so i could get around 20mm thread engagement.

Can you give me a link to the nuts you use? Im using 9mm rear spacers too but im hoping when I get my steels banded the extra inch of dish will negate the need for spacer.

Steels delivered. Shame my photography skills haven't.

Not sure whether to have the banded before or after winter. I'm thinking before, since i don't want to be seen running group 2 wides with skinny overached grubby steels.

Started work on the winter wheels. Perhaps a little late but, but been busy. Looking at the picture you probably think the prep is aweful, however the wheel on left had been wire-brushed, sanded, rust treated and de-greased. This is a very initial light coat of standard red primer before i moved on to the 'beige' hammerite anti rust stuff. The wheel on the right is how they looked after around 3 goes with nitromors.

After the second coat of Hammerite primer. It covers pretty well but it takes an age to dry. Made the mistake of flatting it back a little too early which was a set back. Only managed to get this far today, and the weather wasn't too great. the wheels also took way more wire-brushing than expecting. Hoping to get them all done over the weekend.

I'm taking my time with the prep, as i want them to look good through the winter, and as soon as i take them off they'll be going to get blasted, banded and powder coated.

Also had /done a few more things over the past few months that i simply haven't had to to upload, so i'll update that also. Just stuff like camber brackets etc.

Cheers man. Think my current arches (ones which have been friction burnt) I will fix and paint black again, and the new wide arches which are the same will be painted same colour as the body. I'll buy some standard group 2s to cover these hideously skinny wheels until its warm enough to use the revolutions while these steels get banded. The steels arn't fitted yet, need to perfect how the caps fit to the wheels, and need to put the studs for them into my new hubs. Hopefully i'll have a pic with them on over the weekend.

Not had snow down my end yet, but im sure it wont be long now!
