My SMITHS rev counter is marked with RVI 1000/00. It is not installed. On the back there is no engraving with SMITHS. Only an kind of stamp in black whichs is difficult to read. It reads 0??R, possibly 096R

My questions:

- could it be a fake product, such as Chinese copy? I cannot recall its "history" (You´ll get there too once you reached my age... :shifty:  )

- am I correct in assuming it is not a rev counter suitable for my 1275 engine with Lumention ignition?

Greetings from Sweden

Frank
