Ok so measured the door gap from the front edge of the quarter panel to the flat section of the a pillar (the part with the door hinge holes) so I measure flat against each hole from the very edge of the quarter panel and on the good side where it has an inner cill a doorstep and some sort of outer cill it measures 960 mm on the other side it measures. 963 mm the other side has no doorstep no rear half of inner cill but the floor pan is solid and so is the front halfof the inner cill . I guess it could be a combination of rust thinning the worst side more than the other which is rusty but still has its paint ect so do I need to get them identical by maybe using a ratchet strap to pull it in a little or go as is despite how rotten it is there's still a fair bit of strength in the pillar to be honest I can't see how its moved

Making a list of replacement panels will get a few at a time so I don't get over whelmed and so I can afford it as ime on a shoe string budget for this with the other projects I have on the go as well will be replacing the whole floor complete with rear arches and boot floor so will be getting the pillars and door steps and glitch panels taken care of first that way the inner cill of the new floor has somewhere to be clamped and welded to ...I will also be using the brace bars as a jig by welding in mounting tabs that bolt to the seat belt bolt holes on the tunnel and and the handbrake handle mounting bracket and the gear stick aperature hoes at the front using my original floor as a jig before I cut it out when I fit the new one it will bolt in prior to welding in theory it should be in straight and true
