From memory they are an odd size and were designed specially to work with the Denovo wheel for the run-flat application.  I'm not sure the wheel can take a 'normal' tyre, but I could be wrong.

I seem to remember others managing to make the trims fit normal 12" rims so they look right.

You can jam the denovo trims in regular steel wheels.

That's what we've done on the yellow GT in the pictures I provided.

Well the Yellow GT, is a 1978 built car, but with gutter cut outs and black trim. It's pretty much original but now running Unipart GAW122's. It's currently off the road due to a blown engine, it will be back on the road shortly.

My green GT is again a 1978 car, but without cutouts and chrome trim.

original bar the colour, and interior, now with early GT dogtooth rear bench and cobra classic fronts. Oh and the original Special tuning GKN Silverstones.

As she stands now.

The white one is a 72 car and is currently in pieces halfway through a major overhaul. I've been at it for years. It's being built to full GT 'S' spec, twin tanks, twin HS4's, and with either another set of GKN's or Rostyles or 10" minilites.

Posted these pics a few times before but, seeing as you asked ;-)

My 1979 1275GT as photographed in 1984. It was my first ever car and Mini, wish I'd still got it.

Standard apart from the front spots, side repeaters, rear foggys and the obligatory Lombard RAC Rally Sunstrip. I also fitted a Rokee walnut dash, very posh eh? Not long after the pics were taken, I fitted a pair of Huntmaster high back bucket seats :-)

That certainly looks to be the right place, and that's where I'm putting mine. I've never come across a car with one fitted though. The only info I can find on the S plus pack is the original brochure and fitting instructions. Which helpfully say fit below the boot handle!

Hope this helps

Sorry to derail slightly, but what's the history/spec of the GT S? Never heard of them before...

The South African's had a GTS, which was very similar in spec to our Clubman GT. These were of course Clubman Shells, but had MKII Cooper S running gear, though in later days of the GTS, they went over to non-S blocks, but the spec was basically the same, though I don't think they had a boot badge like that above, but I'm not entirely sure on that.

Boot Badges from our Aust Made Clubman GT (all real except for the last one)
