Love the red badge, very personal touch and goes well with the colour scheme. DId aussie minis come with rear seat belts or is that a requirement to be able to register it in modern times?

Thanks Timmy. As you can probably see from older pictures, the lips were polished, but had a bit of gutter rash, decided to ditch the polished lip and considering the amount of time it would have taken to sand down each spoke, in and around the spoke and then the rear, wouldn't have been worth the effort, and wouldn't have got as good results.
At least the powder coating will be easy to keep clean, hard wearing.
I had my eye on a 5th rim at a show, but was too slow at going to get it, but at least the steel rim has a decent tire that will be good for a spare now, wasn't too sure if a 165 was going to fit on a 4" rim, but it does, just.

What is sikaflex (some sort of glue)? Also really nice idea to colour match the spare wheel with the 4 wheels. I must admit I like the idea of having 5 wheels rather than 4, so that the spare is identical.

Yes, its a sealant/adhesive, polyurethane in a tube.

Would it not be possible to weld metal brackets that brace the lines?

Those wheels done in white really suit the car now, so much better than the white.
With bleeding the rear brakes when a pressure release valve is fitted, open the bleed nipple, press the pedal down slowly, close the nipple, release the pedal and repeat. It took a while to do on my brother's Clubby, but we got the fluid to come through. If the pedal is pumped, the valve closes from the pressure and won't allow much fluid through. Try bleeding it in that manner, if you have''t already, before taking everything apart.

Gave this a go, no joy, knocked off drum and inspected cylinders, so much rust. Took them off and cleaned the up, rubbers and internals look OK, reassembled them and just about to put new shoes on, so we'll see how they go.
