The grille was screwed into place at the top, but the bottom tabs werent near the plastic holders, so it was pretty bent, but managed to push down on the tabs with a screwdriver and it pulled itself straight.

Got the rear up on axle stands and started to paint over some overspray, painted the boot and rear seat panel also, all looks very neat and tidy now.

And this is the shot that made me think it was all worth the effort so far

Got another bit done today, sorted the front bumper and under-riders, all fully tightened up now. Gave it a quick polish and removed some previous overspray.

Got the floors and rear seat panel cleaned up and a coat of black paint on it. Ready for underlay tomorrow. Test fitted the speaker board, perfect fit, what a fluke!

15955700026_f6c8474998_b.jpg

Got the rear lights sealed up with internal gaskets, but wasn't happy with how dull they were. Had some chrome vinyl so wrapped the divider to make it reflective, much better now.

15979440181_710387dc38_b.jpg

This turned out to be another fluke, red overspray on the metal part of the vent. Looks pretty nice like that.

15981465405_253dc29de6_b.jpg

Got the washer nozzles on and plumbed up...

15981466215_776522da1a_b.jpg

Rear bumper also on, took a while to get the bolts in, plus fitted the reverse light and boot lid trim

15795747717_b71319243a_b.jpg

Got the wiring loom fed into the engine bay and part of it to the boot, just need to get the wires back down the A-panel and then try and figure whats what.

Also got the bonnet release cable and mechanism back on and working good.

Coming together nicely - quickly too. Are you going to paint the front subframe where there's some red overspray?

Already done mate! I need to remove more overspray from wishbones and tie rods. Painting the sills black also, well after the fold that goes underneath.

Frustrating start to the day, spent ages figuring out how to get the windup windows in, then how to get the bailey channel in and  get the quarter vent back in. Nightmare! Thought I had it sorted, then window was really stiff to wind up, so its all taken out again.

Moved onto fitting the soundproofing/underlay. Pretty simple job, was the universal kit off minispares so had to chop and trim around the gear lever humps and bumps. I also covered the crossbeam channel with grey carpet. Nice and neat now.

Speaker board still fits, should still fit when carpet goes in.

15800358928_15a6cf2684_b.jpg

Got the door chrome trim back on, its a bit shabby in spots, put it shouldnt look too bad when polished up.

15987746805_5d433bd46b_b.jpg

Made a start on the headlining. Got it in and started to tighten it, then went and got more spring clips. Used some spray adhesive to glue around the rear window, but got some overspray on the paint

15962919166_b4367a5c5d_b.jpg

Will get some contact adhesive tomorrow and get it finished.

Also managed to sort out my boot, twisted it slightly, much better fit now.

15986827371_124636b81d_b.jpg

One of the arches got damaged while in storage, so hopefully I can find it in one of the boxes and glue it back in

15802805369_e99c8dc29d_b.jpg

Painted the sills to tidy it up. A picture just for you Jared!

Hows its looking now...

Not much done today, wired up a headlight and side light, looks nice. Had to remove them again as I had forgot to run the loom through the mouse hole on the drivers side.

15968070556_0e084f6dd3_b.jpg

Fitted the front and rear braided lines, banjo bolt and right to left pipe, need to drop rear subframe tomoro to get the front to back pipe in. Will also put in the new fuel line and battery cable while its off.

Got some 6mm foam tape to put around the arches, a few small gaps in places.

Also had a big tidy up (again) so place is much cleaner and I know where all my tools are!

Back to it today, fitted some foam between the flares and body, was a few gaps that needed sorting.

and after

Okay, you cant really see it in the pictures, but it looks tidier now.

Got the roof lining finished up, a few creases here and there, its really hard to get it right around the B and C pillars.
Also, the C Pillar covers that came with the roof lining kit dont fit. There too small to fit between the rubber seals, and a bit too tall to sit between the parcel shelf and roof seam.

Rear 3/4 windows in...

16002756645_8b4159b027_b.jpg

Rear screen in...what a nightmare it was to get that locking strip in place, took a good hour if not more. Should have bought the proper tool!

Front seal in, ready to put the screen in tomorrow.

15815503590_24d0eb1ab1_b.jpg

Got the rear carpet ready to go in, speaker board just needs wiring up before screwing it into place, door seals are on too.

Good going :) I see you're getting the door seals to seat.
