what do you use to make them shiny? mine doesn't want to shine up

Hi.... i use a few different grades of wet and dry then i use a polishing kit with different compounds and wheels

Never tried the cola and tin foil so I couldn't really comment....... Hardest bit really is smoothing all the float bowls and getting rid of all the seams etc

I tried that when I got them. Doesn't exactly polish but you can get a nice brushed look

I tried that when I got them. Doesn't exactly polish but you can get a nice brushed look

 

what do you mean by brushed look?

but they need to be sanded first anyway.

 

Also tried a wire brush on a dremmel that came out pretty cool too.

Coke and tinfoil is really good for restoring pitted and rusty chrome, but ti doesn't really polish.

 

You could try metal polish like Brasso.
